Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2023: The Indian Navy has released the official notification for the recruitment of Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers for Various Entries- JUN 2024 (AT 24) Course. Selection Procedure For Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2023

1. Shortlisting of Applications: The shortlisting of applications will be based on the normalized marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying degrees. Marks will be normalized as per the formula provided on the Join Indian Navy website.
2. BE/B.Tech Candidates: For those who have completed or are in the final year of their BE/B.Tech, marks obtained up to the fifth semester will be considered.
3. Post-Graduate Degree Programme: Candidates with MSc, MCA, MBA, M.Tech will have marks from all semesters considered. For those in the final year, shortlisting will be based on pre-final year performance.
4. Document Verification: Candidates selected in the final merit list must submit proof of completing the qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks by sending an email to officer@navy.gov.in. Candidates who fail to meet this criterion will not be allowed to join the Academy.
5. Communication: Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for the SSB interview via email or SMS. Candidates should not change their email/mobile numbers during the selection process.
6. SSB Interview: Changing the SSB interview center is not allowed under any circumstances. Any correspondence regarding SSB dates should be addressed to the call-up officer of the concerned SSB upon receiving the call-up letter.
7. Travel Fare: AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview for first-time appearances of a particular type of commission. Candidates should bring a photocopy of the first page of their passbook or cheque leaf with account details.

• A merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks for all entries as per vacancy availability and medical clearance.

Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2023 Training Details

1. Candidates will be inducted in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.
2. Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training. Marriage during training will result in discharge and liability to refund pay and allowances.
3. Officers who withdraw from initial training or resign during the probationary period may be required to refund training costs and pay received, with interest.
4. Candidates who fail to qualify in flying training (Pilot/NAOO) will not be retained in service.

Probation Period For Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2023

• The probation period for officers of all branches/cadres is two years, commencing from the date of Sub Lieutenant rank grant.
