Stage 1
- Stage one involves a written examination.

Stage 2
Candidates who clear CBT of stage 1 will be called for stage 2, depending on vacancies and the ratio decided by ICG. Stage 2 involves physical fitness testing, document verification, and an initial medical examination.
Physical Fitness Test Details:
- Running 1.6 km
- 20 Squat-ups
- 10 Push-ups
Stage 3
After completing stages 1 and 2, an all-India level merit list will be prepared. Selected candidates proceed to Stage 3, which includes document verification, final medicals at INS Chilka, submission of original documents, and police verification.
Stage 4
Stage 4 is the final stage, where candidates provisionally shortlisted in Stage 3 undergo training at INS Chilka after submitting all required documents.
