UPPSC APS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

For All Departments:

  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a university established by law in India or a qualification recognized by the government as equivalent.
  • Shorthand Speed: Minimum 80 words per minute in Hindi shorthand.
  • Typewriting Speed: Minimum 25 words per minute in Hindi typewriting on a computer.
  • Computer Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of computer, as per the Certificate Course in Computing (CCC) conducted by NIELIT or an equivalent course from a government institution/recognized university.
  • Preferential Qualification: Candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum of two years or obtained a ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet Corps will be given preference in direct recruitment.

For Department of U.P. Secretariat:

  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a university established by law in India or a qualification recognized by the government as equivalent.
  • Shorthand Speed: Minimum 80 words per minute in Hindi shorthand.
  • Typewriting Speed: Minimum 25 words per minute in Hindi typewriting.

Age Limit and Relaxation For UPPSC APS Recruitment 2023

  • Minimum Age: Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
  • Maximum Age: Candidates must not exceed 40 years of age as of July 1, 2023.
