RBI Grade B Officer Cadre Recruitment 2023 Notification: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the RBI Grade B Notification 2023 on its official website on 26th April 2023. The notification has announced 291 vacancies for the position of Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General), Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR, and Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM. The online application process will start on May 9, 2023, and the RBI Grade B Officer Exam 2023 will be conducted in three phases: Phase 1, Phase 2, and Interview. The RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2023 for Phase 1 will comprise of four sections- General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability, while Phase 2 will consist of three papers. Candidates are advised to read the RBI Grade B Notification 2023 carefully to understand the eligibility criteria, selection process, exam dates, and other important details. Candidates can apply online from Starting May 9, 2023.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:Graduation in any discipline/Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) Or, Post-Graduation in any discipline/Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years.
Grade B (DEPR)
Master’s Degree in Economics with “Economics” as the principal constituent of the curriculum/syllabus, such as MA/MSc in Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Financial Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics; OR Master’s Degree in Finance with “Finance” as the principal constituent of the curriculum/syllabus, such as MA/MSc in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, Banking and Trade Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Agri Business Finance; OR PGDM/MBA with specialization in Economics/Finance Minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years from a recognized Indian or foreign University/Institute. Note: “Principal constituent” means half or more of the total courses/electives/credits must be in Economics or Finance.
Grade B (DSIM)
Essential: a. Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics/ Applied Statistics & Informatics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years; b. Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years and one year post-graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute; c. M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters / years; d. Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years. Note: For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, the minimum marks required in Master’s Degree as in items (a), (b), (c) and (d) above is 50% or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years. Desirable: (i) Candidates with a Doctorate in topics related to the above subjects will be given preference. (ii) Research or teaching experience and publication in standard journals will be considered as an additional qualification.
Age Limit
The age limit for the RBI Grade B Recruitment 2023 is set between 21 to 30 years as of the crucial date of 1st January 2023. However, the government rules allow for age relaxation to certain categories. Applicants from the SC/ST category will receive a relaxation of 5 years, OBC category applicants will receive a relaxation of 3 years, and physically handicapped applicants will receive a relaxation of 10 years. Additionally, PH+OBC applicants will receive a relaxation of 13 years, and PH+SC/ST applicants will receive a relaxation of 15 years.
