Indian Army SSC Recruitment 2023: The Indian Army has released the official notification for recruitment of unmarried Male and unmarried Female Engineering Graduates, as well as Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in harness, to apply for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. The course is scheduled to commence in April 2024 at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Indian Army SSC Technical Officer Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
A candidate must either be:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia, and Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. However, candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal do not require a certificate of eligibility.
Age Limit
For SSC(Tech)-62 Men and SSCW(Tech)-33 Women: Candidates must be between 20 and 27 years old as of 1st April 2024 (born between 2nd April 1997 and 1st April 2004, both days inclusive).
For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who Died in Harness:
SSCW (Non Tech) [Non UPSC] and SSCW(Tech): A maximum of 35 years of age as of 1st April 2024.
