• Essential:
  1. Matric or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  2. Proficiency in handling Private Branch Exchange (PBX) board. (Experience Certificate to be provided)
• Desirable:
  1. Fluency in spoken English and Hindi.

Age Limit and Age Relaxation Details

• Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years as on the prescribed LAST DATE for receipt of the application.
• Age relaxation will be applicable as per the following categories:
  1. 03 years for candidates belonging to OBC category.
  2. 05 years for candidates of SC/ST category.
  3. 10 years for candidates belonging to Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category (Additional 05 years in case of PwD candidate belonging to SC,ST & 03 years for OBC).
  4. Ex-Servicemen who have rendered service in Army, Navy and Air Force plus three years.
  5. 40 years of age (45 years for SC/ST candidates) for Departmental candidates with 3 years continuous service.

The scheme of examination for the Civilian Switch Board Operator (CSBO) post is as follows:

1. Written Test

• The written test will comprise of four parts, namely: a. General Intelligence & Reasoning (Objective Multiple Choice Type) b. General Awareness (Objective Multiple Choice Type) c. General English (Objective Multiple Choice Type) d. Numerical Aptitude (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
• The question paper will be bilingual, i.e., English and Hindi. However, the question of English Language subject will be in English only.
• The written test will carry 100 marks.
• No extra weightage will be given for additional/ extra/ higher qualification for recruitment.

2. Skill Test

• The skill test will be conducted to check the candidate’s proficiency in handling exchange operation.
• The skill test will be conducted for qualifying purpose only.
