Note:
The question paper will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice questions, presented in both English and Hindi languages.
For each incorrect answer in the Computer Based Examination, there will be negative marking, deducting one-third of the marks allocated to the question.
In case the Computer Based Examination is conducted in multiple shifts, the marks scored by candidates will be normalized using a formula specified by the Commission to determine the final merit and cut-off marks.
The date(s) of examination mentioned in the Notice are tentative, and any changes to the schedule will be communicated to candidates solely through the Commission’s website.
SSC Stenographer 2023 Skill Test
Candidates shortlisted from the Computer Based Examination will be required to appear in the Skill Test for Stenography.
In the Skill Test, candidates will receive one dictation lasting for 10 minutes in either English or Hindi, depending on their choice made in the online Application Form.
The dictation will be given at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’.
The transcribing of the dictation will be done on a computer.
The Skill Test is a crucial stage in the selection process for the Stenographer positions and will test the candidates’ stenography skills and efficiency in transcription.
